Product Description

Dulux Stellar Gloss is a high quality, non-yellowing, water based paint with a gloss finish. It provides excellent colour & gloss retention to uplift the look of metal & wood items.

Suitable for use on interior and exterior metal and wood surfaces, both new or previously painted. It has excellent adhesion, colour retention, good durability and is low odour compared to conventional solvent based gloss finish.

Application Description

Brush or Roller-For painting of large surfaces like door, roller should be used to achieve optimum flow and finishing
Thinning is usually not necessary after thorough stirring. If required, dilute the paint up to 10% with water. Dilution above 20% will affect the performance of the paint.
Conventional Spray-Dilute the paint with 10%-20% of water.
Airless Spray-Ready for use

Health & Safety

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Wear eye/hand protection. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water or shower and soap or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Safety data sheet available for professional user on request. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher - Never use water jet. Keep out of reach of children If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc.
    All surfaces should be rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. Any scrapped area should be spot primed. Light sanding on surface would ensure better subsequent intercoat adhesion.
    Wood surfaces should be sanded in the direction of the grain, using suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. Remove mould. Treat the affected area with Dulux Fungicidal Wash (A980-19260) and let wood dry at least 24 hours before application of Dulux Stellar Gloss
    Ferrous surfaces should be sanded or wire-brushed to remove mill scale and rust.
    Remove the rust thoroughly and the area should be spot-primed.
    For optimum performance, new galvanized and aluminium surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, then pre-treated with an appropriate pre-treatment primer to ensure good adhesion

    NOTE: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after used.
  • 3. Storing
    Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from combustible material. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed.
