Product Description
Dulux Stellar Primer is a fast drying, low odour water-based primer for high quality water-based primer.
Dulux Stellar Primer is a high quality primer suitable for use on a wide variety of substrate including metal & wood. This specially formulated primer provides anti-rust properties, excellent adhesion to metal & wood surfaces including galvanised substrate and as a suitable base for waterbased topcoats to achieve smooth finishing. It is low odour compared to conventional solvent based primer.

Application Description
Brush or Roller-Thinning is usually not necessary after thorough stirring. If required, dilute up to 10% with white spirit. Dilution above 20% will affect the paint performance.

Health & Safety
Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Wear eye/hand protection. Do not breathe vapour/ spray. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water or shower and soap or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Safety data sheet available for professional user on request. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher- Never use water jet. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand.
Tips & Advice

1. Preparing the SurfacesSurfaces must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. All surfaces should be rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. Any scrapped area should be spot primed. Light sanding on surface would ensure better subsequent intercoat adhesion.
Wood surfaces should be sanded in the direction of the grain, using suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. Remove mould. Treat the affected area with Dulux Fungicidal Wash (A980-19260) and let wood dry at least 24 hours before application of Dulux Stellar Gloss or Dulux Stellar Satin.
Ferrous surfaces should be sanded or wire-brushed to remove millscale and rust. Remove the rust thoroughly and the area should be spot-primed.
For optimum performance, new galvanized and aluminium surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, then pre-treated with an appropriate pre-treatment primer to ensure good adhesion
NOTE: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. -
2. CleaningClean all equipment with white spirit immediately after use.

3. StoringKeep away from food, drinks, animal feed and out of reach of children. Keep away from combustible material. Container must be stored in a cool and shaded place.
