Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
Surface must be clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material,
dirt, grease or wax etc. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed
down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. Steel surfaces should be
manually prepared by power or hand tool to SS542:2008 (code of practice for the
painting of building). For optimum performance new galvanized and aluminium
surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, then pre-treated with an appropriate
pre-treatment primer to ensure good adhesion.
  • 2. Cleaning
Clean all equipment with white spirit immediately after use. In the event of an accident, contain and collect spillage using sand or earth.
  • 3. Storing
Observe the label precautions. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. No smoking. Prevent unauthorised access. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not use or store any paint container by hanging on a hook. This product has a flash point below 32 degrees Celcius. It must be stored in accordance with the Petroleum (Safety Measures) Act 1984.
